Social Commitments

Wise Connections is an inclusive workplace that embraces diversity in all its forms.

In our efforts to make social and environmental improvements, we purchase uniforms and office supplies from companies with shared values.

Equal Opportunity

We offer equal opportunity to all staff regardless of gender, disability, nationality, race, sexual orientation, or religion. Remuneration is based on expertise.

We encourage our clients to deliver accessible events. We recognise that the basics of accessible events are physical environments, information sources, and service attitudes without barriers.

Recognition, Respect and Celebration of First Nations People

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country where we work and live.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We extend that respect to all First Nations People.

We celebrate the stories, culture, traditions, and spiritual connections to the lands, waters, and skies, of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Our vision for reconciliation:

Wise Connections is committed to reconciliation, with a fair, just and equitable Australia that is reconciled and in doing so provides opportunities and equal outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Wise Connections recognises and affirms that reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians is the responsibility of all Australians.

Wise Connections acknowledges the unique status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and Traditional Custodians of this Land.

Environmental Sustainability

Wise Connections knows that events are valuable hubs for positive human connection and collaboration, but also recognises that events can harm our natural environment.

We continually drive improvements in waste reduction and aim to reduce other negative impacts of events.

We are committed to ongoing learning about best-practice sustainable events and are dedicated to affecting positive environmental change through events.

The Climate Reality Project

Wise Connections was the official Event Supporter of Climate Reality Leadership Training, held in Fiji, April 2025. Wise Connections provided the event registration software and services, enabling online registration for the 120 event attendees.

Founded in 2006 by Nobel Laureate Hon. Al Gore, The Climate Reality Project has been a catalyst for climate action, empowering individuals to lead the charge in tackling the climate crisis. As climate impacts hit communities across Australia and the Pacific region — with devastating bushfires, heatwaves, cyclones, and rising sea levels —the urgency of The Climate Reality Project’s work has never been clearer.

Wise Connections will continue to support The Climate Reality Project events in Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand) & Pacific, to ensure their vital work can continue.

"We were incredibly fortunate to receive support from Wise Connections in delivering our recent Climate Reality Leadership Training in Nadi, the first event of its kind held in the Pacific.

Wise Connections generously provided access to their event management platform, which played a critical role in helping us manage applications, registrations, and event communications efficiently and effectively. This kind of system support was essential in coordinating a complex event with many moving parts, and it allowed our team to stay organised and responsive throughout."
